Endurance Fitness co-owner provides a statement about Evans location

Cliff and Amanda Jennings have endured a serious setback in their efforts to launch a second fitness center located in Columbia County.

ABD previously reported the couple, owners of Endurance Fitness in North Augusta, had spent several months preparing to open the new location at 4099 Riverwatch Parkway in Evans, but the project fell through. While Cliff is unable to provide specific details about what happened, he released a statement.

“Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to open our facility in Evans at this time,” Cliff said. “Although we’ve had very unexpected and tough several months, we are beyond grateful for our Endurance family standing by our side through it all.”

But their plans to open a gym somewhere in Evans aren’t off the table yet.

“It just won’t happen anytime soon,” he said.

Unlike other gyms that mostly provide weight machines and free weights, Endurance offers its members 60-minute, high-intensity exercise classes.

While this setback has been hard on the couple, Cliff remains optimistic about the gym’s future.

“As we say to our members daily, you were Created For Purpose and we believe that there is a bigger plan and purpose ahead for Endurance,” he said.
