Evans business owner offers better health, tastier products

Michelle Lemmons wants to help her customers drink their way to better health.

Lemmons owns The Vibe Nutrition, 4446 Washington Road, Suite 6, near Shane’s Rib Shack in Evans. The retail space used to belong to another nutrition business, The Healthy Hangout, which closed permanently in the spring of 2022.

She sells a variety of nutritious items, such as sugar-free energy tea bombs, protein coffee, and meal replacement shakes. Shakes, which come in several tasty flavors, including Almond Joy, German chocolate cake, and Captain Crunch, contain protein, greens, vitamins, and minerals.

Michelle Lemmons opened The Vibe Nutrition in July.

Lemmons wants people to know healthy food doesn’t have to be boring and can actually taste good. She also sells appetite suppressants, fat burners, and beauty boosters, which contain collagen, as well as workout supplements.

“I wanted to do something that helps people and promotes a healthier lifestyle,” she said. “Once people try it, they’re hooked.”

Lemmons said drinking shakes in place of some of her meals has already helped her lose 12 pounds.

Before launching her business, she worked in mortgage lending for several years and wanted a change. A friend presented the business idea to her, and she decided to go for it, officially launching the business on July 5. So far, Lemmons has no regrets because she now has more control over her work-life balance.

“It’s going well; it’s growing every day,” she said. “The biggest challenge has been getting my name out there.”

But Lemmons said she enjoys the challenges of being a business owner and emphasizes the importance of doing your research before launching a similar business.

“Know your product, know your market and maintain a positive outlook while navigating the challenges,” she said.

Right now, Lemmons only has one employee, but she plans to hire more in the future.

Vibe Nutrition is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, see its Facebook page or call 706-426-6533.
