Former Hawk Law Group attorney launches new firm

After four years with one of the top-rated law offices in the CSRA, Tianna Bias, announced recently that she was leaving to establish her own practice. The Bias Firm is located at 1005 Broad Street, Suite 100, in Augusta. Her practice will primarily focus on criminal defense while maintaining a collaborative relationship with Hawk Law Group for civil cases.

Her former employer credited Bias with increasing the criminal defense division’s caseload and expanding Hawk Law Group’s civic engagement through various nonprofit partnerships. During her tenure, she achieved remarkable results, including numerous dismissals and reduced charges for serious offenses.

“When I first started with the Group, I knew a decent amount about the practice of law for a young attorney. And while I expected to learn a lot from the guys (as I call them), an unexpected blessing was them teaching me about the business of law–which is something you don’t learn in law school,” said Bias. “They always say, never say never. I said I’d never do criminal defense, went to law school, and fell in love with it during my first semester. Then, I said I’d never open my own firm and now here I am. It wouldn’t have been possible without the support and mentorship of the Hawk Law Group, especially Reid Sanders and Chace Hawk.”

Hawk Law Group remains supportive of Tianna Bias’s decision and looks forward to continuing a professional relationship through referral cases. Attorney Reid Sanders of the Hawk Law Group remarked, “We are grateful for the dedication and hard work Tianna has demonstrated throughout her time with us. Her expertise and camaraderie have made a lasting impact, and we look forward to maintaining our professional relationship in this new capacity.”
