“Greatest honor ever,” says veteran realtor

Meybohm’s Ann Marie McManus has a stack of sales awards from her 40-plus year career as one of the “go-to” agents in the CSRA, specializing in the Summerville area. One of her more recent accolades, she said was her greatest honor ever.

“Receiving the Good Neighbor Award is truly something special. This award, given for the first time ever in Augusta, recognizes my commitment to giving back to our amazing community. It goes beyond professional achievements and speaks to the heart of who I am,” said McManus.

She was at a Greater Augusta Association of Realtors leadership class discussing how to do more community outreach for our local board. A colleague of hers suggested she apply for the Good Neighbor Award.

She had to have supporting letters from some of the groups she is most involved with in giving her time, talents, and resources. Those include:

  • Augusta Richmond County Homeless Task Force
  • Heritage Academy
  • Child Enrichment
  • Salvation Army
  • Peachtree to Glenn Neighborhood Watch
  • Turn Back the Block

“My application will now go up to the state level and may even go up to the national level. I am thrilled to represent Augusta because we are such a philanthropic community, “she added.
