Local business honors late actress

The recent death of actress Betty White (see photo above story) has touched many worldwide, but a local business has found a way to honor her memory.

South Aiken Physical Therapy and Wellness – located at 943 Pine Log Road next to Staples – began accepting pet food donations on Monday, Jan. 17 – White’s birthday. The actress, who would have celebrated her 100th birthday, was also a well-known animal lover. The business will continue to accept donations until Friday, Jan. 21, and all donations will go to Friends of the Animal Shelter located in Aiken. “For Betty White’s 100th birthday, please stop by and share her love of animals by making a donation,” says Darcy Armstrong – physical therapist and owner of South Aiken Physical Therapy and Wellness.
