Local chapter of an international institute to host Mega Meeting event

The Augusta-Aiken chapter of the Project Management Institute is calling all collaborators for the first-ever Mega Meeting next week.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, July 21, 6-8 p.m., at the Snelling Conference Center located at 3165 Washington Road in Augusta. Dr. Mike Perry, CEO of Katalis Beyond Leadership, will serve as the guest speaker and discuss team leadership and development.

Katalis’s clients include corporations, non-profit organizations, and government agencies.

For this meeting, PMI wants to collaborate with various local organizations, such as Young Professionals of Augusta, Junior League of Augusta, and Association of the U.S. Army. Representatives from these organizations can attend the meeting, reserve vendor tables, and provide door prizes.

“Meeting and building relationships with professionals outside of your normal sphere are invaluable and critical in the world of modern business,” said Amy Richardson, President-elect of PMI’s local chapter, as well as owner and founder of Richardson Professional Solutions. “Our chapter is delighted to host the first Mega Meeting in hopes of it becoming an annual event to continue building those relationships.”

Tickets are $30, which includes a buffet dinner and dessert. The event will also include a cash bar.

PMI is a U.S.-based nonprofit with nearly 700,000 members worldwide. The organization offers a variety of benefits for its members, including training and networking opportunities.
