Local company wants to save your roof

A local home improvement company wants to help you avoid the cost of a roof replacement.

Roof Savers Georgia LLC, which is owned by Russell Beckum, Allen Childs, and Larry Hogue, officially opened for business on Nov. 13, 2021. Roof Savers specializes in rejuvenating residential and commercial roofs (see photo above story) by applying a plant-based oil created by a company called Greener Shingles. The oil is designed to improve an older roof’s condition by restoring its flexibility and waterproofing protection. Beckum says it also greatly enhances its appearance and improves its fire resistance by 40%. “It’s 85% less expensive than a full roof replacement,” he states. A replacement can cost thousands of dollars. Beckum explains each application extends a roof’s life by five years, and Roof Savers can perform the service up to three times. “It is safe for people, plants, and animals,” he adds. If a roof can no longer be repaired, the company can replace it.

Roof Savers offers a variety of other roofing repair services, including washing and tune-ups. Childs says they can also install gutter covers that eliminate the need for gutter cleaning. The company even power washes driveways. He and Beckum state customers have consistently given them five-star reviews. “We get the job done in a timely manner,” explains Childs. While some home improvement companies force clients to wait months for service, “In some cases, we can get it done in a week or two.”

  1. Adding 15 years to the life of a roof is no small thing. I applaud this company for bringing this option to the CSRA.
