Local IT firm to relocate to green technology facility

A local information technology, cybersecurity, and telecommunications company will invest $2 million in the development of a green technology building in west Augusta.

Kevin Wade – Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of IntelliSystems, says his company’s new location should be ready by the beginning of February 2022.

IntelliSystems – currently located at 1115 Greene St., and a downtown neighbor for 28 years, is relocating its operations to a state-of-the-art facility at 3687 Wheeler Road, which was formerly occupied by both John Deere and MEDAC. “The consensus was that now was the perfect time to reunify all of our staff under one big, beautiful, solar-powered roof,” says Kevin Wade, the company’s Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer. “As of right now, it looks like we will be ready to move in by the first of February 2022.” The renovations will be completed by RW Allen Construction. Wade states the company has outgrown its current office, which includes their executive management team, administrative staff and 23 certified technical engineers on staff.

The facility will include many high-tech features, such as solar power, electronic sound-masking, and a Voice over IP phone system. “We felt that a technology firm should embody the very latest in ‘smart building’ advancements so that our Augusta headquarters could serve as a ‘living lab’ to demonstrate just how effective, functional, efficient, and comfortable tomorrow’s technology could actually be,” he states.
