Augusta Business Daily wanted to clarify a story that ran Friday morning on our website.
We’ve learned that Augusta Oncology did purchase 15 acres of land on Wheeler Road that extends to Interstate Parkway, across from ADP. This will eventually be the home of a 200,000-square-foot multiple specialty medical facility that will include cancer care.
Besides its office located at 3696 Wheeler Road, the company also has locations in downtown Augusta and Aiken.
Augusta Oncology provides a variety of services, including diagnostic imaging, chemotherapy, and gynecological cancer treatment, as well as hematology, which diagnoses and treats blood disorders. It also offers an in-house dispensary and lab services.

The building at 1220 George C. Wilson Drive was purchased by CSRA Essentials, LLC. This will be the home of The Essentials Center.
Elsewhere at 1220 George C. Wilson Drive, CSRA Essentials, LLC purchased a 10,000-square-foot building.
The Essentials Center will be an all-inclusive, comprehensive center for health and aesthetics – the first of its kind in the CSRA.
