You’ve probably witnessed children having the time of their lives on a bounce house, but it’s not every day you see their parents and grandparents bouncing with them. Molly Daley and Kelsye Butters want to change that.
Local sisters, Daley and Butters, launched Elevate Evans | Luxury Bounce House Service in February. The mobile business provides bounce houses for not only birthday parties, but also more formal events, such as weddings.
“We promote that we’re for all ages,” Daley said. “We would love to do retirement parties – we’re open to all of it.”
They learned about luxury bounce houses for both children and adults, which are particularly popular on the West Coast, on Pinterest, and on other social media platforms. The sisters live across the street from one another in Evans and have enjoyed the opportunity to work together. Between the two, they have five children.
“It’s more of a fringe idea, but people have really been open to it,” Daley said.
Besides bounce houses, they have begun providing balloon installations to their clients.
While she and Butters enjoy the business, and it keeps them busy, it isn’t their primary occupation.
“As mothers, we already have 24/7 jobs,” she said.
Daley said as business owners, they now have new responsibilities and challenges.
“We’ve never owned a business before, and we’re very much learning as we go,” Butters said.
They’re particularly proud to run a family-owned, female-owned business.
“Being a small business owner brings me a new level of confidence,” Daley said.
Both families are relatively new to the Augusta area, so owning and operating Elevate Evans has given them the opportunity to meet many people throughout the area. They charge one flat rate and don’t add mileage costs for events anywhere in the CSRA.
She said one of their clients had spent $700 on a bounce house with another company, thanks to a variety of added fees.
“That breaks my heart, and we will never do that,” Daley said.
They pride themselves on keeping their bounce houses clean and sanitized. They also bring sanitation stations to events.
While the sisters and their kids enjoy the inflatables, their husbands have just as much fun with them as they do.
“It’s fun for everyone,” she said. “It just puts a smile on people’s faces.”
