More than 160 electric vehicles will be shipped to Europe from a manufacturing facility in Augusta.
E-Z-GO and Cushman ELiTE Series vehicles will be used at the 2026 Solheim Cup event in the Netherlands, which pits the top 12 female golfers from the United States competing on the LPGA Tour against their top European counterparts from the Ladies European Tour.
The 2026 Solheim Cup will take place from Sept. 7-13 at Bernardus Golf, a prestigious championship golf course in Cromvoirt, Netherlands, which has also hosted the European Tour’s Dutch Open.
With sustainability at the heart of all planning for the 2026 Solheim Cup, the ambition is to minimize both the carbon footprint and waste, with E-Z-GO delivering innovative and sustainable electric vehicles.
“Supporting the game of golf is a priority for E-Z-GO,” said Steen Scherff, Director, International Sales, E-Z-GO. “As the women’s game increases in stature on both sides of the Atlantic, we are proud to support the 2026 Solheim Cup and continue our relationship with this important event. We’re excited to see some great golf from both teams in the Netherlands this September.”
Vehicles will transport competitors, team captains, staff, and equipment and materials throughout the venue. The fully electric, zero-emission vehicles are powered by Samsung SDI’s advanced, scalable lithium technology.
