Masters of Building Golf for the Future

While the Pros kicked off the Masters, young golfers were participating in building their golf future.

For the second year in a row, Eastside Golf, a lifestyle apparel brand rooted in golf dedicated to driving cultural change in the game, hosted its popular Community Golf Day in Augusta over the weekend just before Masters week. The event was held at Pointe South Golf Club.

Eastside Golf’s Community Golf Days are free-to-play and focused on diversifying the sport and bringing fans and players together at local courses to experience the fun of golf without the financial barriers commonly found in the game.

Eastside Golf co-founders Earl Cooper and Olajuwon Ajanaku were in attendance along with the Morehouse College men’s golf team, Paine College men’s & women’s golf team, and W.S. Hornsby Middle School team.

“We’re excited to be back in Augusta for our second Eastside Golf Community Day. The city has a robust golfing community, from its local schools and golf programs, to hosting one of the world’s most renowned tournaments. Our Community Days celebrate the rich history of golf in Augusta while bringing local players together, building connections, and creating even more opportunities to grow the game in the city,” said Earl Cooper, Co-Founder and CEO.

Olajuwon Ajanaku, Co-Founder and Creative Director, says, “Community Golf Days are how we bring our mission to life—making golf more diverse, more accessible, and more fun. We’re back in Augusta to continue that work by breaking down barriers and strengthening the local golf community—from Paine College to Hornsby Middle School to everyday fans of the game. The more people we connect through golf, the stronger the game becomes here in Augusta, throughout the state, and all across the country.”

Just a little over a half-decade in, Eastside Golf is thriving with significant year-over-year growth. A long list of athletes, celebrities, and tastemakers have repped the brand, including Patrick Mahomes, Chris Paul, Jayson Tatum, DJ Khaled, and President Barack Obama. It boasts numerous collaborations with Nike and Jordan Brand, strategic partnerships and licensing deals with major entities such as the NBA, MLB, and Mercedes Benz, along with a Hulu docuseries.
