A former Meybohm commercial agent struck a deal with a current Meybohm commercial agent and a California-based medical staffing company will be moving to Evans as a result.
The approximate 6,000 square foot building sold for $830,000 near the entrance to the Riverwood Plantation neighborhood in Evans at 205 Addison Square.
The real estate holding company for 365 Healthcare Staffing Services purchased the building. The company is based in San Diego and has many medical personnel placements in the CSRA—and wanted to be closer to clients—and expand over time in the area.
The firm’s President Aaron Kasdorf will relocate to the Augusta area for a period of time once the build-out of the upstairs office is complete. Kasdorf’s company primarily provides nurses, sterile processors and surgical techs to clients all over the country.
The three other tenants at 205 Addison Square will remain:
- Georgia Carolina Physical Therapy
- Barmore and Hammond CPA’s
- C.N Brown Plastics
Lionel Prather, a former Meybohm agent and owner of the building, was attempting to lease the vacant 4th space.
Matt Rogers, a current Meybohm commercial agent, was helping Kasdorf for about six months to locate office space to rent in a tight leasing market for tenants.
“When Aaron visited Augusta, we looked at about six properties and I sent him information on a dozen more,” said Rogers.
The fit wasn’t there or office space was getting leased faster than a decision could be made.
“So, we pivoted,” he said.
Rogers came across Addison Square and ran the numbers with Kasdorf and worked with Prather on the outright purchase of the building….instead of leasing.
“It made the most sense for Aaron to buy something with income with a vacancy for his business,” Rogers added.
365 Healthcare Staffing Services expects to be moved in by 4th quarter of 2021.
