More CSRA Leadership Opportunities

The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and North Augusta Chamber are now accepting applications for upcoming leadership classes.

Business and area leaders are encouraged to apply for the Columbia County Chamber program before the April 18th deadline. Leadership Columbia County (LCC) is designed to expose participants to the opportunities and challenges facing our community while promoting and fostering the development of leaders who are committed to shaping the future of our Region.

The Class of 2026 will be led by program Chair Rhonda Banks (LCC ’10), Interim Associate Vice President at Augusta University, and program Vice Chair Alex Griffin (LCC ‘23), Assistant Vice President of Innovation at the Medical College of Georgia Foundation. During the 9-month program, class members develop a high level of community awareness as they engage in day-long class sessions covering various topics such as law enforcement, healthcare, workforce and education, economic development, and military and county operations.

Applications can be downloaded from the LCC website at https://www.columbiacountychamber.com/leadership-columbia-county/ and are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025.

The North Augusta Chamber of Commerce Foundation is accepting applications for the Junior Leadership Academy (JLA) Class of 2025. This program is specifically designed to provide rising 9th graders in the Aiken County area with the tools and resources necessary for successful leadership development.

Throughout the month of June, participants will engage in a comprehensive curriculum, which includes identifying their own characteristics, personality traits, and strengths, as well as gaining an understanding of community needs, opportunities, challenges, and resources. The program will also provide opportunities for developing communication, team-building, and leadership skills while allowing students to interact with peers from other schools, community leaders, and decision-makers.

The JLA program is open to public, private, and homeschool students, with an application deadline of 4 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025. The program consists of an orientation, seven full-day sessions, one half-day session, and a graduation ceremony. For more information or to apply, use link https://bit.ly/JLA2025
