In 2009, Augusta’s Ray Carnes built his family-focused legacy with Recteq. In 2023, he expanded his brand with Ray Ray’s car wash. Now, he hopes to be king of the paper towel and toilet paper space, designed for healthier homes and cleaner living.
“At Recteq, we built products that changed the way people cook — Throne Bamboo does the same for how people clean,” said Ray Carnes, founder of Throne Bamboo. “We spent 18 months perfecting every detail so families could have products that are good for their homes and bodies. And trust me, these paper towels will make grill masters just as proud — strong, absorbent, and ready for any backyard battle.”
Healthy living with a luxury, everyday feel
According to Chief Marketing Officer/partner Kate Sanders, Throne Bamboo’s debut line includes 3-ply bamboo toilet paper and 3-ply bamboo paper towels – each made for exceptional softness, strength, and safety. Every product is:
- Free from toxins, PFAS, BPA, and formaldehyde
- Naturally hypoallergenic and antimicrobial
- Safe for most septic systems and RVs
- Crafted from FSC-certified bamboo, a renewable resource that grows faster and uses less water than trees
“Wellness remains Throne Bamboo’s foundation, but sustainability is its crown — a reflection of the team’s belief that healthier homes and a healthier planet go hand-in-hand,” Sanders said.
Throne Bamboo’s mission is to replace toxic, chemical-filled paper products with premium bamboo alternatives that are safe, effective, soft, and strong.

Throne Bamboo’s Business Model
Throne Bamboo products are available now at www.ThroneBamboo.com and on www.amazon.com
It is a subscription model featuring 12 and 24 packs of toilet paper and 6 packs of paper towels. You can also bundle paper towels and toilet paper packs.
“Early subscribers receive exclusive discounts and access to limited-edition bundles as part of the brand’s ‘Royal Revolution’ campaign,” said Sanders.
To get started, register your email or follow social channels, and you’ll get a discount code for 20% off your first three recurring orders. By getting on a regular shipment plan, you’ll receive a 15% discount on individual purchases as a subscriber.
“Cost-wise – we’re in the middle to high range for bamboo papers, but our rolls are longer and you’re getting more bang for your buck. It’s a stark difference. Our toilet paper rolls have less sheets because our sheet length is almost 2 inches longer than other sheets on the market (6 inches compared to 4 inches), but the length of our rolls is 1477.5 inches compared to anywhere from 1200″ to 1440″ for most of our competitors, “added Sanders.

The Future of Throne Bamboo
“Our goals over the next year or two are to get into a brick-and-mortar retailer, to create bulk/enterprise options and partnerships where businesses can buy larger quantities from us, and to continue product development.
We’ve been working on diapers and wipes for a few months, as 80% of children under 2 years old have some type of skin sensitivity, and having non-toxic options will be a great asset for this segment of our audience. We’re working on flushable wipes and facial tissues as well,” added Sanders.
Eventually, Throne Bamboo wants to hire employees in the CSRA, who will fill marketing, content creation, and customer service support positions.
