North Augusta Chamber to host monthly small business roundtable event

Small business owners face a host of challenges every day, but the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce wants to help.

The Chamber will host its monthly Small Business Roundtable Discussion tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at its office located at 406 West Ave. The free event is held the fourth Wednesday of each month and is open to all small business owners, not just those in North Augusta, according to the Chamber’s President and CEO, Terra Carroll.

Carroll said previous topics have included time management, business taxes, and best hiring practices. The Chamber often invites guest speakers to discuss these topics.

“A lot of small businesses are challenged with hiring the right employees, so we’ve had some HR professionals come in to help with that,” she said.

At some meetings, there is no topic, and attendees share their successes, concerns, and questions.

Carroll said tomorrow’s meeting won’t have a topic. Instead, business owners will be asked to discuss how 2022 ended for them and their plans for 2023.

“We want them to share any success stories that could help someone else,” she said.
