One Columbia County fitness center closes facility

While many gyms are gearing up for their busiest time of the year, one local fitness center is closing its doors permanently.

ABD has learned Burn Boot Camp’s Grovetown location at 953 Branch Court closed on December 22nd after four years in operation.

The owners of that franchise location also own and operate the Evans location at 4490 Washington Road, which has been operating for six years. Burn Boot Camp offers group workouts called Camps that combine strength training and high-intensity cardiovascular exercise.

“It was a tough decision, but we decided to consolidate and focus on our Evans location, which all members have been invited to transfer to if they’re interested in continuing their fitness journey with us, “said Burn Boot Camp franchisee, Nathan Parsons.

Founded in 2012 by Devan and Morgan Kline, Burn Boot Camp has more than 300 locations across the U.S., including Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

Every January, local gyms are filled with people who have made New Years’ resolutions to get in shape and lose weight.

Parsons hopes his business decision will be helpful to those who are current members or future ones. “With consolidating the operation in Grovetown, we can better enhance the experience for our members at Burn Evans and combined efforts of our Trainers to continue to empower, inspire and transform our Burn Boot Camp community,” he added.
