Patriotic company to celebrate grand opening of CSRA location

Tomorrow, a Savannah-based company that specializes in manufacturing and selling patriotic attire will celebrate the grand opening of its newest store in Grovetown.

The event for Nine Line Apparel located at 284 Meridian Drive, next door to Cold Stone Creamery will begin at 9 a.m. and continue throughout the day. It will include food, a bounce house for kids, and the opportunity to meet the company’s Founder and CEO, retired Army Capt., Tyler Merritt.

In February, before the store opened, ABD interviewed Merritt, who started his business in his garage in 2012 and now has five locations and about 200 employees. He chose to open the store in Grovetown because of its proximity to Fort Gordon.

“A lot of people who buy from me online live in that area,” Merritt said.

He also has two stores and a 60,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Savannah, as well as locations in Charleston and Delray Beach.

The stores sell various clothing items, including T-shirts, hats, hoodies, and socks for men, women, and children. The company’s foundation helps wounded veterans dealing with PTSD, homelessness, and other issues. Merritt strives to raise awareness about the challenges they face.

“It hurts to take other people’s lives,” he said.

As a patriotic company, it’s important to him that most of his products are manufactured in the United States.

“We decided if we could make it here, we would,” Merritt said.

He said now that Nine Line has a location in the CSRA, he would love to make Masters T-shirts.

The Grovetown store is open Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about the company, visit ninelineapparel.com/.
