Mike Iezzi is proud to be a serial restaurateur, even in his 60’s.
Less than a year after selling 12 CSRA Wendy’s locations, he’s at it again with two different concepts.
He’s invested in and is helping to run a relaxing restaurant in North Augusta and is about to fulfill a dream— opening a sports bar with a well-stocked game room.
He and three other partners are close to opening the Langley Tavern on 2549 Jefferson Davis Highway in Warrenville. It’s the land that once was a Dollar General and is in front of the Langley Pond and close to Aiken Tech and a Food Lion.
“We’re waiting on permitting and will be open seven days a week from 11 am to 10 pm, “said Iezzi.
There’s room for 100 customers at a time with a full bar, serving traditional tavern food like burgers and chicken wings.
“There aren’t many places to eat within a 5 square mile area,” he added.
Iezzi and partners Angela and David Roberts, along with Greg Pierce, invested in a high-tech sports simulator with 72 games— including golf.
There will be pool tables and other arcade-like attractions.
The partners are mindful of Saturday and Sunday afternoon football in the South.
“We have nine big-screen TVs.”
While Iezzi’s 18 year-run running Wendy’s restaurants ended in January 2025, he’s just getting started.
He and his partners are enjoying the fruits of their labor, operating the Feed Sack in North Augusta( they are not involved in the flagship Feed Sack in Aiken) and soon the Langley Tavern.
“I enjoy the food and beverage industry and seeing people coming in having a great time with the food we cooked,” Iezzi added.
Said like a man, who qualifies for Social Security benefits, but has a lot more food and drinks to offer.
