Brandy Gibson is excited about contributing to the growth of downtown Augusta by relocating her business. Gibson – owner of Tiffinie Bleu Bridal Boutique – opened her new location at 1251 Broad Street on Friday, June 4. The store sells bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses.

Today, June 24, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., she and her staff will celebrate moving into the new 5,000 square foot store with a ribbon-cutting and grand opening celebration. Gibson explains the Downtown Development Authority will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.

They will have “live music from 10-11:30 and then again from 5-8,” as well as giveaways throughout the day, she says. Many local businesses have provided gift cards for the grand opening, such as Edgar’s Above Broad, Sole Augusta, and The Pinnacle Club. “Swank donated a $50 gift card,” Gibson states. “Windsor Jewelers donated a bracelet.” Food will be provided by Events on Broad and Riverside Boards.

She says since they moved from their previous 1,200 square foot store at 1417 Monte Sano Avenue, Tiffinie Bleu has already experienced exceptional growth. “We have lots of street traffic,” says Gibson. “We’ve definitely seen an increase in business.” Beyond that, she appreciates the opportunity to add another business downtown. “It’s really starting to grow up, and we’re really happy to be a part of that,” Gibson adds.
