For the second consecutive year, Nuclear Care Partners has been named the 2026 Best of South Carolina Home Healthcare Provider by The Guide to South Carolina.
NCP handles in-home healthcare for former Savannah River Site (SRS) and other Department of Energy workers while reinforcing its role in raising the standard of care for the atomic weapons workforce nationwide.
The award builds on the organization’s recent recognition as a two-time recipient of Aiken’s Top Docs Awards and comes as Nuclear Care Partners celebrates 15 years of serving former atomic weapons workers and their families.
“Winning this award for a second consecutive year is incredibly meaningful because it reflects the trust our patients and their families place in us every day,” said Lance Danko, Administrator of Nuclear Care Partners South Carolina. “We’ve never believed that former atomic weapons workers should fit into a traditional home healthcare model. They deserve care built specifically around the illnesses they face, delivered by clinicians who understand their unique needs and advocates who will stand beside them every step of the way. That’s the standard our team is committed to delivering.”

Among the innovations driving that recognition are Nuclear Care Partners’ proprietary Care+ Programs, including Care+ Lungs and Care+ Kidney. These disease-specific care pathways combine specialized nursing expertise with personalized care planning, nutrition support, caregiver education, benefits advocacy, and coordinated clinical services designed specifically for former atomic weapons workers.
Innovation at Nuclear Care Partners extends beyond clinical care. The organization has long believed that exceptional healthcare includes protecting the benefits and resources patients have earned. In addition to helping workers navigate the federal benefits available through programs such as the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA), Nuclear Care Partners actively engages with policymakers in Washington, D.C., advocating for legislation and program improvements that strengthen support for former atomic weapons workers and their families.
As the healthcare needs of this unique population continue to evolve, Nuclear Care Partners remains committed to advancing a model of care that combines clinical excellence, innovation, and advocacy to improve outcomes and enhance quality of life.
The standard for caring for former atomic weapons workers has changed—and Nuclear Care Partners is proud to be helping define what that new standard looks like.
