The anchor store in Aiken’s Silver Bluff Commons Shopping Center is the latest location on the Big Lots “hit list” along with two other CSRA spots.
Big Lots just moved into this 58,000-square-foot shopping center on 1016 Pine Log Road less than three years ago.
“Jordan Trotter Commercial Real Estate handles property management and leasing for the Silver Bluff Commons Shopping Center in Aiken. We are aware of Big Lots’ future closing and are currently working on the marketing for that space. The current tenant lineup is as follows: Habanero Mexican Grill, MAU, INC., Nail Place, Vinyl Tyme, and Vikki’s Boutique. The Big Lots anchor tenant space that will be available is 43,066 SF. Silver Bluff Commons Shopping Center is located at the corner of Pine Log Road and Silver Bluff Road, with close proximity to Whiskey Road and Hitchcock Parkway. This location is visible to more than 21,500 vehicles a day and is in an established trade area,” said Juli Means, Director of Marketing for JT.
The Ohio-based retailer also recently announced that stores at 687 Main Street in Thomson and 263 South Liberty Street in Waynesboro will be shuttered, along with about 300 of nearly 1,400 others across the country.
NOT on the list to close are Big Lots at:
- 406 E. Martintown Road in North Augusta
- 2708 Peach Orchard Road in South Augusta
- 526 North Belair Road in Evans
Big Lots says it is losing hundreds of millions of dollars per year across its footprint.
