Reporter likes new, unique restaurant in North Augusta

A new restaurant in North Augusta offers its customers a healthier alternative to the traditional fast-food hamburger. Dawg! That’s Vegan – located at 1696 Knox Avenue near Georgia Avenue, had its soft opening on Thursday, Sept. 30. The restaurant serves a full menu of vegetable-based burgers that taste much like the real thing, as well as French fries and sodas. After many years of working 12-hour days running a busy family auto repair shop, Chuck Smith knew it was time for a change.
