It’s a good sign of growth when a company or organization adds a significant number of new staff positions.
Dr. Mark Thompson, Dean of the Hull College of Business, explains why this is happening now and how it helps those wanting to study at the Business School.
“The Hull College of Business hired six new faculty members this past year, starting this fall, that is the most we’ve had in our history.
A lot of that is due to President Keen making the investment in the Hull College of Business. So, we’ve turned around and hired a couple of marketing faculty, a management faculty member, a finance faculty member, and an economics faculty member.
It really covers a lot of the different disciplines in business, and it’s going to provide a lot more opportunities for our students.
It’s going to allow us to offer more classes. I expect to see the college continue to grow. I mean, obviously, hiring more faculty allows us to continue to offer very personalized instruction and smaller class sizes, lower student-to-faculty ratios. I mean, a lot of things that really are going to enhance and provide a great experience for our students.”
