When the government launches a commission, count me among the skeptics, but not for this recommendation. This summer, the naming commission created by Congress, recommended Fort Eisenhower as the new name for Fort Gordon in Augusta. Two members of a global renewable energy group of companies recently purchased a building in Augusta, according to Jordan Trotter Commercial Real Estate. TEXEL Energy Innovations Inc. and Transition Energy Inc. bought an 11,000-square-foot garage/flex space located at 1228 Gordon Highway. The Finem Group with Meybohm Commercial Real Estate sold the building, which contains 1,500 square feet of office space.
