Yesterday, the Augusta Commission voted to approve Pedal Pub Bar & Patio’s plan to launch a new location in Augusta, according to Commissioner, Brandon Garrett. The business is coming to 305 12th St. based on a Facebook post from the Downtown Development Authority of Augusta. A Pedal Pub is a multi-passenger party bike that looks like a mobile bar, but the bike has no engine. Instead, the passengers move it by pedaling. The average weekly earnings in the Augusta Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in 2021 was $898. In Atlanta, it was $1,070 and just $682 in Hinesville (see the first chart).
