Creating paths to good outcomes is the goal of the HUB Augusta Collaborative, a joint effort between the Community Foundation for the CSRA, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta, and the Medical College of Georgia Foundation. Simon Says: Tour caddies beat tradition, help pro golfers lower their scores

The Masters Golf Tournament required the use of local caddies from the Augusta National Golf Club from 1934 through 1982. Since 1983, golfers at the Masters Tournament have been able to use their tour caddies. An economic paper in 2014 by Douglas Coate and Michael Toomey asked if professional golf caddies improve player scoring. Major plastics recycler to bring jobs to Augusta

Imagine a facility that can recycle 1 billion pounds of plastic each year. An international company plans to build that type of plant in Augusta and bring 80-100 jobs to the area. PureCycle Technologies, Inc. recently broke ground on the facility in Augusta Corporate Park located at 4760 Mike Padgett Highway. The company’s recycling process and technology were developed by Proctor & Gamble. A local group plans to make the historic water tower smile again

With help from local businesses and the Augusta community, Leonard “Porkchop” Zimmerman wants to improve the appearance of the skyline overlooking downtown Augusta. Zimmerman, a local artist, founded the nonprofit Project Happy Water to raise $100,000 that will be used to restore and paint his Happy Robot logo on the water tower on top of the JB Whites Building located at 936 Broad St. The nonprofit held a kickoff fundraiser called High Water on Thursday, March 24, which raised $11,000.
