Are they “winging it”? Wing Stop (or should I say “Thigh Stop”) will continue our apparent insatiable need for some form of fried chicken. A local franchisee is preparing to open another restaurant in the CSRA, this time at the busy Kroger Shopping Center in Evans. What’s amazing to me, is how Wing Stop is growing in the face of exorbitant pricing increases. Have you seen the cost of chicken wings these days? One of my favorite pizza places, charges $1 a piece. Some restaurants are about $17 a dozen!

A group of downtown business owners have teamed up to host a free block party this weekend. The 8th Street Holiday Artisan Market will be held on Friday, Dec. 10 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 11 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will be held on 8th Street between Ellis Street and Greene Street. “Almost all the businesses on 8th Street are participating,” says Gary Dennis, Executive Director of the Jessye Norman School of the Arts, which is helping to host the event
