Famous toy shop reopens in Augusta, nationwide

Maybe you didn’t want to grow up because you were a Toys “R” Us kid. But you can now shop for your own kids at the iconic toy store by visiting Macy’s in the Augusta Mall. Downtown businesses to participate in annual trick-or-treat event

Claire Riche has created a fun, interactive trick-or-treat event that helps to promote businesses in downtown Augusta. Riche is the organizer of the third annual Trick or Treat on Broad Street, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 29 starting at 5 p.m. During the free event, more than 40 businesses, including The Southern Salad, Grantski Records, and Knuckle Sandwiches, will distribute candy to children 12 and under. James Lee enjoys smoking cigars and meeting people, so he launched a business in downtown Augusta that allows him to do both at the same time. 10th Street will become the site of the daylong block party

Last month, Manny Hatzis opened a sports bar on 10th Street. On Oct. 8, he, along with other restaurants on that street collaborated to plan a free outdoor event. Weinberger’s Furniture celebrates 90 years of serving CSRA

Chick-fil-A is seeing if the appetites of people in the CSRA will give them the go-ahead to try a new breakfast treat nationwide. Beginning this week, Chick-fil-A launched its new breakfast, Chorizo Cheddar Egg Bites in several test markets.
