Shop small. Win big.

More than 60 businesses and sponsors hope the Aiken Chamber’s annual Red Ticket campaign will keep local businesses in the black during the holiday shopping season.

For the 4th year in a row, shoppers will receive a red ticket by visiting participating locations. For each $25 spent, you get a red ticket. Last year’s campaign topped $1.75 million in sales for local businesses.

Those tickets will go into drawings each week through December 19 for cash prizes which increase each week for a total of $5,000 in cash giveaways during the Red Ticket Campaign.

Town Creek Boutique at 101 Town Creek Road, at the corner of Town Creek and Silver Bluff, is one of the participating businesses. Owner, Julie Steen has offered red tickets each year since the campaign began in 2021.

“We had just opened in that first year of the Red Ticket promotion and it really helped us get off the ground. The customers love it and the program gives back to the community,” said Steen.

Like many small businesses, Steen was impacted by Hurricane Helene, but she and her boutique were lucky.

“Our power was back on after two days and although we lost sales, it could have been worse.”

In the coming weeks, shoppers can visit various businesses to shop, eat, and show support for a chance to win prizes.

Each Monday at 5 p.m., the Aiken Chamber will select a winning ticket and give away a cash prize. Follow the Chamber’s Facebook page to keep up with the weekly drawings and participating businesses.
