Downtown businesses kick off weeklong event today

Retail boom at Village at Riverwatch

After more than 10 years of planning, land clearing, groundbreakings, and construction, there is no more room at the Inn over at the Village at Riverwatch in Augusta. Thrift store opens its 5th Georgia location in Augusta

America’s Thrift Stores opened its newest store yesterday at 270 Bobby Jones Expressway, next to Walmart. When ABD arrived around 11 yesterday morning, more than 100 shoppers were perusing the aisles. An Evans franchisee decided to close up shop after three years in business. April Barbin and Lindsay Gay posted on Facebook that they were closing their AR Workshop. According to their website, they are cousins by marriage and best friends. Crews are pumping out the work sunup to sundown to try and get Parker’s Kitchen open as soon as possible in 2024.
