Nonprofits benefit from companies’ kindness

About 15 different sponsors kicked in money to cover many of the expenses incurred by two different non-profits at yesterday’s 30th Annual Triple Crown Golf Classic at Woodside Country Club. In keeping with the “30” theme, Aiken Regional Medical Center sponsored the hole-in-one competitions, which featured two $15,000 prizes. Amongst other sponsors, lunch was handled by the local Chick-Fil-A and beverages at the cart were sponsored by Security Federal. CSRA bank brings in legendary golfer for clinic next week

A World Golf Hall of Famer will be at Jones Creek Country Club early next week to lead a clinic for children learning the game of golf. Annika Sorenstam is returning to Augusta on behalf of Bank of America and its Golf with Us in partnership with Youth on Course to expand affordable access to golf nationwide. Countdown to Masters with a twist

In less than four weeks, golfers and fans from around the world will begin arriving in Augusta for the traditional spring events. Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) has rolled out a virtual welcome mat, and management is trying to show financial appreciation to staff for the long hours ahead. John Hyder is about to demolish this part of his multi-purpose property that he opened 28 years ago. He’s a serial entrepreneur and is planning his 3rd act.
