Final Cut still isn’t announcing final closing date

It was a busy weekend for mostly ladies at Final Cut, sorting through 20% off sales on already marked-down women’s clothing starting at $5.

If salesclerks knew when the next markdowns were or when the store would close in the former BI-LO, they would not say, while repeatedly getting asked at check-out. The 20% off sale has been in place since the going-out-of-business sale started.

The other big seller was a BOGO deal on jewelry and does not allow you the additional 20% off.

Ladies and men looked over higher-end items like trendy tables, dressers, and sofas in the $600-1200 range, minus the 20% discount.

Final Cut announced in May it’d be closing sometime this summer, after they cleared out all the items in the store.

Final Cut had been leasing its store in the former Weinberger Furniture Store on Washington Road and the former BI-LO supermarket building at 500 Furys Ferry for the past nine years. There is no other Final Cut outlet in the CSRA.

ABD reached a Jordan Trotter Commercial Real Estate leasing spokesperson about what business might fill the space in the fall.

According to Juli Means, the Marketing Director for Jordan Trotter, The Petersburg Shoppes retail center where Final Cut is located is along the fast-growing Furys Ferry Road corridor. “It’s a popular destination for the high-end residential developments nearby. We are working with several potential tenants to fill any vacancies.”
