This week, we are going to take a right turn down the Artificial Intelligence (AI) rabbit hole, and in particular, AI Story Generators.
There are various online tools or applications available that can help you brainstorm and suggest interesting and unique stories. AI generators can help you save time, help you overcome writer’s block, and help write with efficiency and quality.
In addition, the content you create can help your business. By educating your potential customers and helping you stand out from similar brands, you can develop a strong relationship with your audience.
Content AI is a tool that can help. Think of it like an online thesaurus or a spell checker on steroids. There are dozens of sites that provide AI story generation for blogs, articles, poems, and other written forms. You have probably heard of some of these: Jasper.ai, Copymatic.ai, and Rytr.ai. These have free trials, although Rytr has a “forever” free plan that gives you 10,000 words each month at no cost.
Let’s see how this works.
We are going to look at the input and output for a couple of types of writing today.
Example of an AI Content Expander
I put the following statement into my AI Generator, which I have nicknamed “The Magic Box”: Neil Gordon supports local businesses.
And the output was this: Neil Gordon is a local businessman who supports other local businesses in the area. He seeks new ways to help the local economy and help those who are struggling. He is a true asset to the community.
The Magic Box used its scanning of the several billion documents on the web to create a paragraph from the input. Not a bad paragraph for a machine!
Funny AI Story
You can have some fun with these systems as well. I put the following to my Magic Box: “a robot fell in love with a penguin,” on a setting called AI story.
Out came a nice short story: A Robot fell in love with a Penguin. The Penguin was cold and uninterested in the Robot.
The Robot tried everything to win the Penguin over, but nothing worked. One day, the Robot decided to build an igloo for the Penguin. The Penguin was so touched by the gesture that he finally fell in love with the Robot.
They lived happily ever after.
It is not Hemingway, but certainly a touching, quick read.
And my favorite one is…
AI Art Generation using text prompts
This is a process where you enter a text phrase and the AI Art Generator will “create” an original art piece. Here are some that I generated. Each of these was generated in seconds through the AI’s understanding of the prompt.

Note how this is rendered in the style of a Davinci sketch. Like Monet better? Check this out:

So what does it all mean?
These are some of the fun things you can do with AI right now. The message is that AI is coming to a business application near you, whether it’s writing blog posts, creating outlines for storyboarding, or just helping you to get over writer’s block.
Warning: this can be a real rabbit hole as you regenerate and regenerate your text or images to see what comes up next.
