Jose Pringle has always been interested in cars, but he never thought he would enjoy working in the auto glass industry, until he tried it for himself.
In March, Pringle launched Let’s Get It Clear Auto Glass, LLC, a mobile business that repairs and replaces damaged windshields caused by rocks, break-ins, and even domestic violence situations.
“I’ve been in the car industry for over 15 years, and I started off as a car washer,” the Miami native said.
He worked his way up to jobs at dealerships and body shop businesses.
When Pringle was working at a body shop, an auto glass technician asked him to help him with one of his repairs. The technician said he did a good job and asked him if he wanted to work in that field, but he said no. Soon after that, Pringle’s wife told him Safelite, a national auto glass repair and replacement company, was hiring, he applied and was hired to work for the company. Pringle also worked for another company called Glass America.

“I wanted to learn more and perfect my craft,” Pringle said.
He performed repairs and replacements on a variety of vehicles, including domestic, foreign, and sports cars, and discovered he loved what he was doing. Because of his experience working on cars, the work was relatively easy for him.
Pringle wanted to start his own business, but there was one problem: he didn’t have the money.
“I was tired of waiting; I wanted to advance myself,” Pringle said. “I wasn’t going to give up my dream because of a lack of funds.”
He pressed forward and now provides services for local drivers and body shops. Pringle is based in Grovetown, but he travels to various parts of the CSRA, including Martinez, Evans, Thomson, and Aiken.
