Harris Weinstein – President of KAMO Facility & Supplies and Darryl Leech – Vice President and General Manager of Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center, want to help those affected by the tornadoes that swept across Kentucky (see photo above) on Friday, Dec. 10 and Saturday, Dec. 11. The items they need include diapers, clothing, non-perishable food items, and silverware. Checks can be made out to the American Red Cross of Kentucky. “You name it, we’ll take it,” says Leech. “We need everything.” Donations can be dropped off every day this week from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at KAMO – located at 1326 Reynolds St. He explains they plan to have a truck deliver all items to Kentucky on Saturday, Dec. 18 or Monday, Dec. 20. Leech was inspired to help after seeing the devastation caused by the tornadoes on TV. He called his friend Weinstein to discuss how they could help. “Americans help Americans in times of disaster,” he states.
