New Chamber program takes companies to the next level

11 business owners are ready to take their businesses to the next level, thanks to a generous bank sponsorship and the guidance from The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Level Up Business Academy launched its six-month course for small business owners on January 26th.

To qualify, owners had to operate a healthy business for at least three years and show desire to take their business to the next level. The program is designed to accelerate growth opportunities through education, counseling and resources.

Multiple guest experts will provide entrepreneurial strategy and the Academy offers a review of business plans and processes as well as a financial and marketing refresh.

Participants will develop a five-year growth plan and leave the class ready to take their business to the next level. The 2022 Level Up Business Academy participants include:

David Ray, Cyber City Circuits LLC
Keith Perret, Keith Perret State Farm
Stacy Roberts, SMR Leadership Solutions
Varian Hunter, A Lustrous Finish
Richard Green, Tech 4 Success, LLC
Amanda Gilchrist, Designed By Purpose Counseling and Consulting, LLC
Dittilio Shepherd, D Shepherd Construction & Utilities
Nader Khatib and Lisa Khatib, Laziza Mediterranean Grill
Stan McDaniel, Stan McDaniel State Farm
Daniel Burnfield, Augusta Custom Clubs

Stacy Roberts is one of the 11 “students” in the Level Up Business Academy. She’s shown here leading a workshop on inclusion in Augusta. She is looking to expand her business SMR Leadership Solutions.

Security Federal Bank is underwriting the costs of much of the course expenses, reducing the costs the participants pay to just $150 for the six month course.
