New CSRA restaurant serves American, Asian cuisine

Owning one restaurant can be overwhelming, but Jason Yang owns six eateries in Georgia and South Carolina.

In March, Yang opened his latest business, Kanda Kitchen, which is located at 3555 Richland Ave. West, Suite 186 in Aiken. The restaurant serves a variety of menu options, including Philly sandwiches, fried rice, hamburgers, and chicken wings.

Yang said no other restaurants in the Aiken area serve both American and Asian cuisine.

Kanda Kitchen serves both Asian and American food including Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches.

“We’re a one-stop shop,” he said.

Kanda Kitchen also serves several flavors of bubble tea, a drink that originated in Taiwan and typically contains tapioca pearls.

“We have mango, coconut, strawberry, latte, and mocha,” Yang said.

Besides Kanda Kitchen, he owns two other CSRA restaurants: Okinawa Sushi & Steakhouse in North Augusta and Jade Garden in Graniteville, as well as eateries in Macon and Warner Robins. Yang has managers who oversee all his restaurants, except for Kanda.

“I am the manager, at least for now,” he said.

Kanda Kitchen is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday from 12 noon to 9 p.m. For more information, visit Kanda Kitchen or call 803-226-0392.
