New restaurant and bar to replace former CSRA eatery

A new tenant is replacing a former downtown eatery that closed late last year, according to the Finem Group at Meybohm Commercial.

The Group recently announced that Lenox on 10th, a new restaurant and bar, will move into the space previously occupied by The Bee’s Knees located at 211 10th St., which closed its doors permanently on Nov. 20, 2022.

“I was personally a part of the opening training teams for Cheddar’s and Wild Wing,” said Aris Reed, one of the business’s owners. “With 20+ years of bar and hospitality experience locally and throughout the country, we’re excited for the future of Lenox on 10th.”

Reed posted on Facebook that it’s scheduled to open next month.

The Finem Group at Meybohm Commercial says the former Bees Knees location is part of the growth of downtown Augusta.

John Eckley, Vice President and commercial broker with the Finem Group said the restaurant and bar is just another example of the remarkable growth taking place in downtown Augusta. Eckley also listed new housing developments coming to that area, such as the Lamar Building and The Standard on Greene Street.

“These developments, along with the coming streetscape projects, are going to make a compelling case for more to live downtown,” he said. “We congratulate Lenox on 10th for their new lease and are delighted to have been part of seeing a new concept take up The Bee’s Knees baton.”

This is a developing story, and we will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
