New vegan restaurant in North Augusta sells plant-based burgers

If you think adopting a vegan lifestyle means giving up hamburgers, think again.

A new vegan restaurant in North Augusta serves a variety of healthier, plant-based burgers. Dawg! That’s Vegan – located at 1696 Knox Avenue in North Augusta, is finishing up its first week at their new sit-down restaurant.

Angel Everett – owner of Dawg! That’s Vegan, launched her business in Feb. 2021 and sold her burgers at various farmers’ markets in the CSRA. She opened her restaurant location in North Augusta on Sept. 30. (Photo courtesy of Angel Everett)

Of course, customers don’t have to be vegan to enjoy the restaurant’s food. Angel Everett – owner of Dawg! That’s Vegan, founded the business in Feb. 2021 and sold her burgers at local farmers’ markets prior to launching her restaurant. Everett says non-vegans are often reluctant to try the burgers, but once they do, they’re typically pleasantly surprised by the taste. “We haven’t had any complaints about the taste just yet,” she explains.

I plan to try one of the burgers and provide a further report to our readers next week, along with an interview with Angel’s husband.
