Every holiday season, there’s a special kind of magic that fills our community — one made of laughter, wonder, and togetherness. But for many families who have children with sensory sensitivities or special needs, that magic can sometimes feel out of reach. The lights are too bright. The music is too loud. The lines are too long.
That’s why, since 2017, we’ve opened the doors of Flack Family Chiropractic each holiday season for one of our most meaningful traditions: Sensory Santa — a free, heart-centered event designed to bring joy, peace, and inclusion to families who need it most. This year’s event will be held on Friday, November 15, giving families plenty of time to receive their photos and send out Christmas cards well before the holiday rush.
At Sensory Santa, families are welcomed into a calm and supportive environment where every child can experience the wonder of the season — on their own terms. Each family enjoys a private 5–10 minutes with Santa and Mrs. Claus, complete with gentle conversation, smiles, and professional photos by The Beautiful Mess Photography.
What makes our Sensory Santa experience so special is the way Santa meets every child exactly where they are. If a child feels more comfortable on the floor, Santa will happily join them there. If they need a quiet moment, he may step behind a closed door and gently peek out with a wave. For others, he’ll even come outside to say hello. Every detail is shaped around creating a peaceful, joy-filled moment for each unique child and family. Parents often share that these photos become some of their most treasured holiday memories because it’s the first time their child truly felt seen, safe, and celebrated.

Our Santa and Mrs. Claus are community heroes in their own right. Beyond bringing holiday cheer, they are active supporters of the Savannah Riverkeeper, an organization dedicated to protecting the health and beauty of our local waterways. To honor their time and generosity, Flack Family Chiropractic donates directly to Savannah Riverkeeper, turning every laugh and smile at the event into a ripple of positive impact across our community. What began as a small idea eight years ago has grown into a beloved Evans-area tradition that reminds us what can happen when local businesses and families come together to create something meaningful.
The event is completely free for families, but it thrives through the generosity of community partners. Each year, we assemble goodie bags filled with small gifts, treats, and resources from local businesses — and we are currently looking for sponsors to help make this year’s event even more magical. Whether you own a boutique, bakery, marketing firm, or restaurant, your contribution helps create a day of joy that families will never forget — and shows that your business stands for inclusion, compassion, and giving back.
