The latest rage in photobooths comes to North Augusta

Before cell phones and selfies, there were photo booths. Now, the next generation of both is trending across the country and it’s for hire in the CSRA.

The Electric Selfie 360 spins. It has lights and video. They are the product of technology, innovation, and pop culture. 360 Photo Booths capture 360-degree photos on a rotating platform and offer an eclectic experience to guests of all ages. Apparently, all those bells and whistles can turn business executives into teenagers

“We were part of a North Augusta Chamber mixer in November when members from several county chambers attended. The Electric Selfie 360 was a big hit. Everybody had a blast,” said owner, Reimonda Chandler.

Chandler is a native of North Augusta. She majored in business at USC Aiken and then worked in retail management.

“It was physically demanding. I was looking for something else. While visiting my sister in Greenville who is a high school assistant principal, I saw the equipment in action. I also saw a business opportunity.”

Chandler bought the equipment in September and utilized it at several events in the fall including the Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee. Since then, Electric Selfie 360 has been rented for wedding receptions and other events. The concept has also been featured on national talk shows and many recent awards show.

“But the easiest way to understand the experience is to see it and feel it for yourself like a wedding photographer, Melissa Gordon and her assistant, Jay Dickerson did recently.”

Chandler’s software instantly processes the video file and a business or event logo can be added as well as any other effects and overlays.

“We can also make it shareable on social media or a website.”

Chandler has a business plan which includes featuring more promotions on social media and putting together a packet to distribute throughout the CSRA including to schools, festival organizers, businesses, and other groups.

The next time you want to party like it’s 1999, but fast forward to the future, maybe it’s time for a 360 selfie experience. After all, we live in a world where content is king and where social media is optimized for business or just for fun!

If you want to see the Electric Selfie 360 in action, their next event is at Paine College on January 22, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. You can also visit their website or Facebook page for rental information.
