Next month, a pair of new food concepts are opening in the “heartland” of Augusta on Washington Road in the Washington Crossing shopping center.
Zen Ramen will open in the former Zoe’s Kitchen building, followed by Fresh Take Grocery. Fresh Take Grocery is in the former Whole Foods complex and will offer experiential shopping to include traditional supermarket services in a café setting with various serving stations and different activities during and after dining or shopping.
Two restaurateurs are joining forces to create Zen Ramen.
Li Jian (owner of KOI on Washington Road) and Benjamin Zheng (owner of Top Crab on Wrightsboro Road) are partners in the new venture.
“We are excited to bring a fast-casual ramen concept to the CSRA. This restaurant will feature light, affordable food and a friendly atmosphere,” said Zheng.
Heartland Vet will be opening between Zen Ramen and Fresh Take Grocery in the center, with landlord and tenant representation from Jordan Trotter Commercial Real Estate.
According to a news release, “This new facility aims to provide high-quality veterinary care and services to the local community, ensuring pets receive the best possible treatment in a convenient and bustling setting.”
