Many travelers are ready to disconnect from the constant distraction of their devices and get back to nature, especially business owners who stay connected 24/7.
According to Booking.com, nearly 60% of travelers surveyed are looking for vacations that allow them to escape reality and totally unplug. More travelers than ever are ready to experience new cultures and experiences on their 2023 travels.
Rather than kicking back at an all-inclusive resort, nearly three-quarters of U.S. travelers want to be pushed out of their comfort zone on their next trip, with many saying they want to experience new cultures, food, and languages, and travel to underrated destinations around the world.
Out of 24,000 travelers surveyed, 90% said they are interested in nostalgic getaways, making this one of the top travel trends of 2023.
What does nostalgic travel look like? More than 60% of travelers are interested in visiting theme parks like Disney World, whose rapidly growing demographic of adult fans love visiting the parks of their childhood memories.
“Some travel advisors have different specialties such as Disney destinations and Universal Resorts. We love planning all types of family, group, and romance travel. Elite is the only locally owned Gold Earmarked Agency with Disney in the CSRA. Disney recognizes only the top selling agencies with this distinction,” said Olivia McKerley, Vice President of Travel for Elite Events and Tickets.
If you and your family are looking to hit the high seas for beautiful scenery on a cruise, Travel with PopPop owner, Brian Adams says Alaska and Canada are prime destinations.
“There are several cruise lines with multiple ships that have availability and good rates,” Adams said.
Whether it’s a bucket list trip or just a way to unplug and get away from every day demands of business, there are plenty of businesses in the CSRA ready to make your dreams a reality.
