Working for the Weekend: The Augusta Market

I love a good day trip with the kiddos, but you don’t actually have to leave the city to find a fun outing for the weekend. Just a drive downtown can provide a fun Saturday with the kids, or even the pets.

I hit up the Augusta Market with two of our three girls and had a good time just discovering what’s available at the stands near the river. And let me tell you, it’s quite an eclectic offering. I think most people assume it’s a farmer’s market vibe, but while there are fresh veggies to be found, they are certainly a minority of the vendors.

Probably what you’ll find most of are food and edible items, followed closely by accessories like jewelry, hats, and bedazzled dog collars. Click below to get a good look at what all the Augusta market has to offer, and even hear why one local vendor has a booth inspired by TikTok.
