There’s a certain amount of anxiety going to college as a freshman. If your son or daughter is in high school and ready to pick a school, consider sending them for a trial run at the Hull College of Business.
ABD: So, how does a day in the life of a Hull College student work?
HULL: It is an opportunity to recruit and bring high school students on the campus, but it’s also an opportunity for students to get a sense of what it’s like if they were a student in the Hull College of Business.
We bring in guest speakers that lecture on a variety of different topics. We also do a lot of experiential activities in the classroom.
And so, they get a feel for what it would be to be a Hull College of Business student.
It’s open for any high school that is interested in bringing a group of students on campus. They can just reach out to us, and we can set that up.
We provide lunch, and I think we have a good time, and the students seem to have a good time.
ABD: What type of feedback do you get from the high school students that may be a little nervous stepping onto a big, beautiful campus? What do they tell you?
HULL: So, the feedback has really been great, and we have been quite successful with this event. It is something we’ve heard from the guidance counselors at their high schools. We’ve heard from the actual professor who spoke to students.
We hear everything from, “Wow, I didn’t realize this is what college was to I didn’t know what this the classroom looked like. This was fun. I had a great time.”
