31-year-old automotive company to expand

After five years of developing Energreen America, Bob Matthews is stepping down to focus on expanding his namesake company, Matthews Enterprises. The expansion includes the launch of a new Paint and Body Operation, specifically for medium to heavy-duty trucks.

The company is comprised of Matthews Motors, Matthews Truck Bodies, and Matthews Fleet Solutions, each of which has earned a reputation of integrity combined with excellent service. As part of its growth strategy, the company is pursuing aggressive initiatives in areas of acquisition and market expansion.

In late 2022, Augusta Business Daily was first to tell you about the acquisition of Venture Auto Sales in the CSRA.

“We wish Energreen America and all its dealers the best of luck in the future. The product is truly an amazing piece of machinery,” said Matthews.

His son, Austin Matthews, CEO of Matthews Enterprises, says “Matthews Enterprises is dedicated to focus its business on God, servant leadership, and creating an environment where our employees are not just another number.”

Matthews Motors, originally Fleetcare Commercial Trucks, provides a wide variety of parts and services including truck repairs, trailer repairs, automotive repairs, paint and body shop, fleet management, preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, DPF cleaning, emergency road service (24/7), towing, truck wash/detailing, and more in our 42-bay service centers.

Matthews also sells and installs a variety of truck bodies, including hook lifts, cable hoists, custom shelving units, flatbeds, utility bodies, and container carriers.
