Big box flooring retailer to open CSRA location

A national retailer that sells and installs various types of flooring is bringing a new location to Augusta.

Floor & Décor, which has more than 200 locations nationwide, is currently building a store at 110 Mason McKnight Junior Parkway, near Northern Tool + Equipment, CarMax, and other big box retailers. Like Home Depot and Lowe’s, Floor & Décor offers a variety of flooring options, including tile, stone, laminate, and vinyl.

Construction has begun on the Floor & Décor location at 110 Mason McKnight Junior Parkway.

The Augusta Today Facebook page recently announced that the store is coming to Augusta, which was met with mixed reactions. Some were excited, while others were disappointed that another big box flooring store was opening in this area.

“This store is awesome; I bought flooring from there when I lived in Atlanta,” said one local woman, while another wrote, “This is your friendly reminder to continue supporting your local small businesses.”

Floor & Décor, which was founded by George West in 2000, has locations in several states across the U.S., including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Texas.

The new location of floor & Décor will be located near Northern Tool and several other big box retailers.

This is a developing story, and we will bring our readers updates as they become available.
