Multi-million dollar sale of major Augusta manufacturer

Clearwater Paper Corporation will acquire Graphic Packaging, a bleached paperboard manufacturing facility, for $700 million based on adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization) of approximately $100 million. Macy’s, which has an anchor store in the Augusta Mall, has announced massive store closings, including 50 by the end of this year and another 100 underperforming stores to close by the end of 2026.
