Takosushi founder starts another specialty restaurant

Kevin Goldsmith is at it again. He started Takosushi more than a decade ago and it’s become a local and regional success. The European native is celebrating 50 years in the food and beverage industry. Trattoria Polipo is an ode to his childhood, when he enjoyed the understated, affordable neighborhood restaurants that were gathering, eating and drinking spots for family and friends. Final Cut still isn’t announcing final closing date

It was a busy weekend for mostly ladies at Final Cut, sorting through 20% off sales on already marked-down women’s clothing starting at $5. If salesclerks knew when the next markdowns were or when the store would close in the former BI-LO, they would not say, while repeatedly getting asked at check-out. Kim Holland thinks of herself as an artist, but instead of paint, her palette includes gourmet meats, cheeses, fruits, and crackers. Holland owns Van Goat Grazing Co., which specializes in creating and selling charcuterie boards, boxes, and grazing tables for weddings, parties, and other events. Local bank helps with tonight’s art opening

Bank of America of Greater Augusta/Aiken is celebrating the opening of “The Long View: From Conservation to Sustainability,” an exhibition of 88 artworks that trace the history and impact of the environmental movement through art.
